The interactive exhibit features the characters Dorothy and Toto from the classic children's novel, The Wizard of Oz, skipping along a path of yellow corn kernels, Yolo County's highest-grossing field crop, leading to the "Wizard of Ag."

Perhaps the biggest surprise comes from two former Australian Idolers Rob Mills, as male lead Fiyero, and Anthony Callea as a perfectly cast munchkin. Both hold their own with strong vocals - Callea particularly has a voice that seems perfect for theatre.

Raleigh Little Theatre's Teens on Stage production of Ozma of Oz: A Tale of Time is a lovely piece of all-ages entertainment, loosely adapted from one of the many sequels L. Frank Baum wrote for The Wizard of Oz by family playwright Suzan Zeder.

Theatre tourism is a huge drawcard for Melbourne – A$10 million in Wicked tickets have sold already, more than a quarter from outside Victoria, and producers are hoping the production will run for several years, bringing more of the 6.7 million visitors.

"The director really gave us the go-ahead to become very creative in this." Her creativity included creating jewel-encrusted eye pieces that fit into an actor's eye sockets. "The eye patches took me four 12-hour days -- it was a huge prep for me."

Cut in shortened form, these (films) feel grating to fans who love the original Baum tales. But played out in the full fifty-two 21 minute episodes, the changes feel more natural as a whole.

The magnificent 1954 version of A Star Is Born, with Judy Garland and James Mason. It's a 6K restoration that we're doing. That's one of the earliest CinemaScope movies and it's a masterpiece, as far as we're concerned.
